National Youth Band - Course Director

Kevin Ronald Moseley
Kevin started his banding career at the age of seven. He progressed rapidly and in his early teens was a member of five NZ national Youth Brass Bands.
He has been a member of four National Bands 1980, 1990, 1995 and 2005 and being placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the Amateur Cornet section has kept Kevin in the Championship Cornet section for over 26 years.
Kevin has conducted the Marlborough District Brass Band since 1989 taking the band from B to A grade. In the last 4 years he has kept the band at a constant level in the top half of the grade. He has also had major involvement with Jazz bands and local operatic productions.
Enthusiastic and passionate about the local band movement Kevin has regularly taught pupils who in turn have had much success at a local and national level, turning out many junior champions and National Youth Band members.
Having taught since the age of 15 has meant a continuous involvement with the Youth of our movement. Being appointed Musical Director of the National Youth Band of New Zealand is one of the highlights of a very successful music career.
